The “Xinhongshuyuan” Cup Xinmin community football game ended on Nov. 28, bringing down the curtain on a game between “Xinqiao”and “White Horse community”in which the former won the championship. The main striker of “D-boy”Zhang Xing won Top Scorer with 8 goals in total.
The two teams in the final game were rivals met on a narrow path. After the early tentative stage, the game became increasingly fierce. Bothsides have the offense and defense mutually and was a close race until towards the end of the game when suddenly “Xinqiao”launched a quick counter-attack and won a corner. The penalty-taker traced out an arc and Yang Meijun of “Xinqiao” rose high enough to deflect it into the left corner of the goal. Following the last-gasp, Xinqiao took the crown and won.
The game came to a successful conclusion although a few happy and a few not, but that’s the beauty of football-heading on courageously without knowing the result. Winning is great, but fighting like a team and be pride of the effort together is what matter most.
